When thinking about why I do what I do, I had to ask some important questions...
What does the world need? To slow down, to connect, to feel, to rejoice in life itself and the beauty of sharing with others. How do we connect? By caring, by extending our gifts to others who are in need or desire for what we have.
I was often told that I was the best kept secret, in that what I offered was impactful, unique and made a difference, yet no one knew about the work I did on a grand scale. My part of this was the confusion of telling my story. I felt it sounded odd that one person could work across so many contexts, disciplines, and industries. But the fact is that what I do is about people. It’s about connecting with people at a deeper level, and in doing so, creating meaningful experiences that have an impact. I create solutions for people. Through keen observation, multidimensional insights and quick development of strategies, together, we’re able to facilitate connections that reach humanity and touch people in ways that have them feel special.
Why is this important? Without an experience of recognition, the receiver of the communication can feel empty, unseen and even used. No one of the planet wants to feel this way. And because they actually desire to feel the opposite, it’s crucial that our interactions deliver. If we can deliver on ones deepest human desires, then we’ve just lifted the world in a much-needed way and connected with someone in a powerful way.
For many, the person they need to connect with the most is themselves. After all, connecting with others is tough when there is disconnection with self. The same is true for business. Many businesses have lost sight of who they are, what they stand for, and some never knew in the first place. How then can a client feel safe and satisfied in doing business together if the foundation comes across as shaky or confusing? The importance here is that everyone from leadership to those on the frontlines are congruent in how they communicate the life of the business. When they do, people will feel good doing business with you, and feel special because the experience you’re creating has the feeling that it’s just for them. And who doesn’t want that?!
